{ Thankful }

Last weekend, we celebrated Thanksgiving, and boy do I have so much to be thankful for. The feelings are actually overwhelming, when I sit back and look at my life, and realize just how blessed I am.

I'm so thankful for my husband. The man who provides us with all the best in life, and works hard to do it. The man who cleans like it's nobody's business, and has been known to bust a move or burst into song while doing so, cracking me up every single time. The man who has given me our beautiful children, and continues to grow each and every day as a father and role model. The man I call my best friend.
(Disclaimer: Don't get me wrong. This is the same man who passes gas at the most inappropriate times, the man who knows how to push all my buttons, and the man who spits all over the mirror somehow every single time he brushes his teeth. He's not perfect, but I couldn't imagine my life without him, and that's what makes him perfect for me.)

My children - how do I even express that gratitude I have, for having the absolutely priceless privilege of being there mama? I look at them every day, and wonder how I got so lucky. I'm thankful for bedtime snuggles, for the way Jaxson says "I lu-you so much mama", for the way Novelle looks into my eyes with deep admiration as she nurses peacefully in my lap, for the constant laughs I share with Cheyna. I'm thankful for the lessons they teach me each and every day - lessons of patience, kindness, understanding, and love. I'm thankful for the way the have this uncanny ability to mold me into a better person than I ever knew I was capable of being. I'm thankful for every moment spent with them, and never take it for granted.

I'm thankful for the constant display of love and support displayed by our wonderful family and friends. In the past month or so, we have had non stop dinner parties, play dates, and other gatherings with loved ones. And, each time we end one of those magical days, I go to bed feeling deeply satisfied, and blessed. Blessed to know such wonderful people, and blessed to be part of such an amazing family.

I'm thankful for hot coffee on these cool mornings, for a cozy fireplace to snuggle up to, for the fall aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg that fill our home.

I'm thankful for our health.

I'm thankful for the food on our table, and the roof over our heads.

I'm thankful for more this year, than I have ever been in my life.
I feel truly blessed, and completely content with our beautiful life. And I wish you, my friends, this kind of love and happiness, each and every day.

Tuesday Ten

First of all, a big hello to all my new followers from the Blog Hop!!! Thank you all for joining.

After my little Thanksgiving hiatus, away from the computer, I am feeling renewed and refreshed! I had such a fabulous time with my family. Once I get the photos uploaded, I can share it with you!

But for now, it's time for the Tuesday Ten roundup, again! I have to admit, this is usually my favourite post of the week. It gives me an excuse to sit on Pinterest for a good while!
This week I decided to share with you, some of my favourite fall fashions! Pinterest is fantastic if you're looking for some style inspiration. The possibilities are endless!

1. One of the best things about fall is sweaters! And this combination of grey and red can carry you right into the winter months.
2. The next best thing about fall fashion? Boots!

3. And, you've gotta love the scarves!

4. I love the little, hidden bird detail on this bag.

5. The Burberry scarf says it all.

6. Stripes always make me happy :)

7. I'm normally not one for leather jackets, but this is just cute all around!

8. This zebra print/orange combo is awesome.

9. I never feel like I can pull off a hat like this, but it really is adorable.

10. Hehe, I love how even the drink coordinates with this last outfit.
Now, are you itching to do some fall shopping? I sure am!

I'm linking up this week, with Miss Mommy's Tuesday Ten! Go on over, and check it out!

Wishing you all a fantastic week!

Pumpkins Galore!

Festive spirit is high in this house, as we gear up for Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving falls super early this year, and I love it! It means we get to deck the porch with pumpkins, and make rustic leaf accents to display on the dining table for almost a whole month - all the way to Halloween!

Last night, the kids were tired and cranky, but I refused to let it dampen the fun I had planned. I got them all sugared up on chocolate, to recharge their batteries, and we ventured on a little jaunt to the grocery store to find the perfect pumpkin (or 6). I know, I know, the pumpkin patch would have been way cooler, but we already have a trip planned a couple weeks from now, and I want pumpkins right then and there. So to the grocery store we went.

Then, we bought more chocolate. Yep, the sugar high doesn't last long, before the next sugar crash comes! Bad mama, I know. But this week I have been cutting Jaxson's nap out. It's been an off and on battle for a couple months now, and I finally decided to just bite the bullet and do it. The kid was napping 3+ hours per day, and then staying up until all hours of the night. It just wasn't working anymore.
So, it just means lots of snacks throughout the day, to keep him happy and keep him going, until 7:00 rolls around and I can put him to bed.

They had lots of fun decorating the porch and garden with pumpkins, corn, and cutesy scarecrows. And then we just chilled on the front lawn for a while, because it was a beautiful fall evening.

(This picture is classic - this is her "I'm trying so hard to sit up" pose.)

This weekend holds a promise of lots of fun, laughter, and good food. We'll be heading to Rockton for their Annual Fall Fair, to eat some tasty fall treats and test out our favorite rides, then we'll have a full house for a delicious Thanksgiving feast, followed by an annual family gathering on Monday, that we like to call the Turkey Bowl. Football, hot chocolate, and pastries all around! Makin' memories, baby...I can't wait!

Happy Hump Day!

Tuesday Ten

After a cold and rainy weekend, I'm inspired to share some of the best rainy day activities found on Pinterest, with you! Fall is here, and the rain is bound to come, so these will likely come in useful in the next weeks.

1. Marshmallow structures! Two dollars, and hours of entertainment, building all sorts of goodies with toothpicks and marshmallows. Genius! Make sure you save a few of those puffy, white bits of goodness for a cup of hot chocolate afterwards, though!

2.  Vanilla pudding + food coloring = Pudding Paint! Totally fun. Totally messy. Totally edible.

3. Bath time is always a big hit at our house. A warm bath on a cool, rainy afternoon with colored ice cubes to chase around - ten times more awesome!

4. File folders turned car ramp! My kid would probably spend hours playing with this. Mental note made.

5. Pasta necklaces were already cool, but coloring the pasta all shades of the rainbow makes it even more fun. Rainbow necklaces on a rainy day - how fitting!

6.  Aquarium treats. Jello and candy...'nuff said.

7. Recycle a plastic container and some pipe cleaners into a colorful jellyfish.

8. Laundry baskets can provide hours of fun, with a little bit of imagination :)

9. Hand and foot prints make an awfully cute lobster.

10. And lastly, the drive in movie car. A cozy movie is always perfect for a rainy day, and I just LOVE this creative idea to make it even more fun.

******I'm linking up again this week, to Miss Mommy. Check out more Tuesday ten's on her wonderful blog!

Happy Tuesday!
